Community Support
Supporting Our Small Businesses & Community During This Crisis
Over the past several weeks, our community has been deeply impacted by increased immigration enforcement activity and racial profiling across Minnesota. Somali-owned small businesses especially those located in malls and commercial hubs have experienced significant loss of income, customer disruption, and in many cases, family separation.
Even business owners and workers with legal documentation have been affected. The fear and uncertainty have made it difficult for families to work, operate their businesses, or meet basic expenses. Many households are now struggling to pay rent, utilities, payroll, and other essential business costs.
The Minnesota Somali Community Center (MSCC) is responding with immediate community-led action.
